ok..mine is a road car and have found since putting back in the torsen its way nicer to drive and not noisey at all...clutch lsds are for racing and drifting and do wear out and how much you adjust them if you can will still be noisey.

I give mine plenty on abuse and to say the least there is more abuse coming once new Motor goes in, ITB's and Turbo

Well after having the roll bar in for about a month with rough paint, no plastic trim or carpet in the car, ive hopefully re-fitted it for the last time.
While the trim looks far from a factory finish, I don't think it looks to bad - a shame i had to cut holes behind the seatbelt to get my fingers through to hold the nuts. -Note: Buy more than the exact amount of nuts and washers, coz when you drop one in the seatbelt tower you have to pull EVERYTHING off again to get it!!

How slack of me not to give them a plug as I'm really happy with it!
I took some pictures in to show what I wanted, they made some good suggestions (44mm for the main hoop, just add a diagonal if I want it race spec) and you see the result.

TTT Engineering, on Dominion rd. 09 6310687.
Can't remember the guys name .. But it doesn't matter as it's a small team and only a couple of them do the fab work.

Just between you, me and the web it cost me $600.

I've had a couple of people recommend TTT Engineering to me over the past couple of years so must be a pretty good outfit.

Lowered the front 10mm, I think it looks perfect, handles way better.

Got home, decided to throw in the towel on my car and get someone else to do the work.

Oh and put in my order for a 6 speed gearbox. Should hopefully arrive in the distantly near future when I'm ready to give it to the workshop with my Japanese mate to put in a crapload of stuff before I go get it certed.

I hope so, it was done to a height that should clear underneath - I havn't had a chance to check though.

Thanks to the helpful information from members here, i ripped in to it and installed my new fusion 8" active sub.

I ended up putting it sideways, low behind the seat.

It sounds great and it not visually noticeable when the seats are in their usual position.

my seat can still travel right back, there is no restriction on the seat travel in my car.

maybe give it a try, otherwise you could always put it in the boot or your car?

definitely worth installing IMHO

Isnt the boot a separate compartment? Would have thought no sound would make it through :?

from what I have read, boot subs would need a vent of some description into the main cabin to be effective *but* there is anecdotal examples on other forums of some people having success with the sub in the boot on an MX5.
Cant think where im going to have to put it as i need the seat all the way back.
if the drivers seat is out, then the other 3 options I figure are: behind the passenger seat, velcro'ed to sit on the parcel tray (for car thieves to see) or maybe in the footwell on the passenger side.

-=edit=- and I also got around to replacing the missing slidey plate on my ashtray with some alluminium...

sorry about the terrible photo

I'd still have to take all that black crap off first, which is the time consuming bit. I've hit it with degreaser and WD-40 but its effin stubborn.

I just gave mine to HPC and they give it a chemical bath first before coating. Should've gone with the Extreme coat though if I was to do it all again

Hmm, what sort of cost would I be looking at? I'm keen on the polished look.
