I had this problem once on my previous car, A mazda familia! and i can
understand how annoying it is, mine was intermittent, sometimes if i flicked
them on and off, it would work, but more often than not it wouldnt. I had
some guys from work who are electrical gurus to look and see if the relay
was working however thay struggled to find the relay!!(found in the end-and
it was fine) In the end i fixed it by spraying contact cleaner(found in
repco etc-damn good stuff) down into the console where the dip/high beam
switch sits. It must have been a dirty contact as it fixed it straight away,
and hey everyone loves a quick fix!
good luck
Gareth.

Yep often its the switch end..if Mazdas are like Alfas they will have a slack
switching system prone to wear out...can be fixed rather than replaced by
anyone who knows what they are doing and a few simple hand tools ( not me but
Graham But if the spray cleaner does the job all the better!
Cheers Joan H
