Number Plate Mounting

Post by Jeff Rapp » Sat Oct 04, 2003 3:20 pm

Hello All,

I have a 1993 Eunos Roadster which has had the front number plate broken
off, i.e. the mounting point on that platic insert have broken.

Does anyone have some tips on re-mounting it so that it sits higher and wont
scrap on the ground and parking stops, etc?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Just in case, can you send your reply to jeff.rapp@attglobal.net, please.

Cheers!

Number Plate Mounting

There are many places you can mount your plate- central, off to one side, on
a bracket, attached direct to the front 'bumper'. There is a tempting and
innovative system to top mount your plate on hinges hanging in the 'mouth'
so that as speed increases it swings up and out of the way of pesky speed
cams (could be combined by one cleverer than me with an electromagnetic
device to hold the plate down in place for inspection by suspicious
officers, with a release switch in the cockpit). My plate is attached to
the lower lip of the mouth protruding into the aperture- can't scrapes,
hasn't overheated. Just drilled a couple of holes and screwed it on.
