Cars required for Auckland Santa Parade

Hello everyone.
Doug St George of the Auckland Santa Parade has been in touch requiring 8 or
so MX5s for the big Auckland Santa Parade on 30 Nov (Rain day 7 Dec)
. ( to cut a long story short - we had planned to offer cars for the
Ellerslie Parade as we had done two years ago)

His comments are as follows :

Organizer's quote for the uninitiated :
"Usually each car has a character and a young helper aged about 10, there is
an example at www.binary.co.nz/myjag3.jpg of my car. The character sits on
the body tub or soft top with feet on the back seat. Some owners arrange a
squab or similar to sit on. The car and driver turn up at 11 am, parade is
from 2 pm, exit straight onto motorway afterwards. Extra passangers can't
be taken, they can watch & catch the car after the parade at the back of the
aotea centre. The car needs to idle reliably for up to an hour, a lumpy
cam is not a good idea."

First in first served. Doug has suggested there may be places in the parade
for other cars, I'll keep you posted.
