I rang the Loctite guy today regarding which Loctite product
to use on the front crank pulley shaft, he asked if it was a
clearance fit (pulley can be removed by hand) or a press fit
(needs force/tools to remove or put back on). They each use
a different Loctite product. So can you guys tell me if the
pulley was a loose or tight fit please.
Cheers

definition I'm going to call it a clearance fit. Certainly no press
required.
This article http://www.miata.net/garage/hsue/LoctiteCrank1.html
details the recommended loctite products. I rambled about the topic
in various emails here between about 14-19 August 2004.
Karl.
