Any ideas for gauge locations?
I'm going the turbo route this year and need to put in AFR and boost gauges. I don't want to fill the vents, we need our heaters too much down here. The only other place I can see is down low below the heater controls, which is kind of out of sight, so looking for ideas.
Anyone got any pics of gauge installs that look at least a little factory and no too boy racerish?

I had this thought the other night. I'm miles off boosting my miat, but - Surely you could pull the factory oil pressure gauge out and stick a boost gauge in there? It'd look stock and be functional. Not sure where you'd stick the AFR gauge, but if you were really keen you could make a new dash cluster... Or use an NB one if it has more places to put AFR gauges.
I read on some other mx5 site that the oil pressure gauge is a dummy anyway, correct me if I'm wrong.

Why don't you guys go for this?

Be a much cleaner look, its what I'm wanting as it keeps the gauges reasonably out of view for the public walking past.

Ah yeah theres that too, I'd go for that one if your centre console is in decent shape. I like the more tucked away look for my gauges so I'm trying to avoid pillar gauges as much as I like the way they look.4A-GE wrote:I love how they've spelt gauge wrong. This one looks the ticket:

Unfortunately part of planning your car these days if you daily drive it is trying not to make it a target.

Boost gauges are a waste of time. I never look at mine. If you need to set your boost just check your ecu data logs. I have an over boost/ over rev light on the dash. Thats all you need. When tuning you dont need the afr gauge either. Just check the logs.
