As always, Ross at MX5 Mart is the place to go - try http://www.mx5mart.co.nz/db.cgi?db=mart&uid=default&id=18&ww=on&view_records2=1 I bought a couple of new mats for my NA from Ross two years ago. They look much better than the originals, fit perfectly and don't ruck up at all. Bit more expensive t...

You're right about the sparkle green. It might have been on Bridgestones originally but it wasn't when I got it - have just checked back and my note from when I replaced them says 'some Japanese brand I've never heard of'. Good point about using the tyre designed for the car but not only does techno...

If anyone is interested, I run Pirelli P6000s on my NA. These were originally set to 28psi and I was very disappointed with them on turn-in compared to the unknown Japanese tyres that were on the car before. I actually went back to the fitter in Newmarket to discuss, and having tried them he put the...

Well that should put the lie to the old comments that the MX5 is a hairdresser's car. Mind you, my daughter would love it! I can't imagine that any floral fabric would be suitable as a long-term option. Perhaps it might be better to get a standard roof screen-printed or stencilled? That wouldn't las...

That's no recommendation - my brother's comment about the revised version of
Candle in the Wind that Elton John sang at the same event was that he'd
rather have a record of the two minute silence!

Johannes Pachelbel - Canon in D. 17th century composer - I seem to recall this was reconstructed from a fragment of music, but not sure who by. As the tutor of a young JS Bach, Pachelbel would at least have been no
stranger to plagiarisation!

(thanks for injecting some light-heartedness back into the list, Gazza)

I don't like forums personally - far too hard to use.

Gentlemen (I'm addressing this to the gentlemen on this list because I don't think the ladies are participating in this thread), Can I suggest that the saddest comment on that site is the one about the writer's opinion of MX5 owners going downhill? It's starting to read like a hairdressers' bitch-fe...

Not quite sure what Bill is alluding to with his Harry Potter comment - my speciality is trivia and motor sporting history - but there are plenty of Hermiones around to help with the really tricky stuff.
